The expertise and equipment at Abbey Road Studios are made available to locations worldwide by our Mobile Recording Unit. The history of the mobile is closely associated with EMI Classics, having followed its artists to venues across the world since the 1940s.

This service includes access to the full complement of Abbey Road’s microphone collection, headphones, experienced technical support and the ability to record in all analogue and digital formats.

Recording Services

  • Classical music - from solo violin to grand opera
  • Film scores - bringing headphones, picture playback and anything else needed!
  • Overdubs - choirs, soloists, strings etc
  • Inclusive package deals also available when mobile projects also wish to edit, mix and master at Abbey Road Studios

  • 4 X DAD AX24 A/D convertors with remote Microphone Preamplifiers (32 channels) to allow MADI only to be sent from the sound stage to the control room
